Magic Bullet is the answer for editors who need footage to look finished but do not want to move a project into a grading application to get there. The looks tool is the centre of it. Installation
- Install and launch each host application once so its plug-in folders exist.
- Close every host including background render engines.
- Run the installer and select the hosts to register against.
- Apply the included licence step before opening a host.
- Open a host, apply the looks tool, and let the preset thumbnails build.
Before you start
Colour management in the host matters. Set the project to the intended working space before building a look.
Presets live in a shared folder, back it up rather than the individual project files.
Registering against a host added later means running the installer again.
