Overview
Bandicam records what is on screen without dragging the machine down, which is the whole trick with capture software. It hooks the graphics pipeline directly for full screen applications and uses hardware encoders on the graphics card for everything else, so a long recording ends up as a manageable file rather than a hundred gigabytes of raw frames, and the machine stays usable while it runs.
Three capture modes cover the range. Screen mode records a fixed region or the whole desktop with optional cursor highlighting and click effects, game mode hooks a full screen application directly for higher frame rates, and device mode captures from a capture card, webcam or external source. Any of the three can record system audio and a microphone on separate tracks so the mix can be balanced afterwards.
This build removes the recording length cap and the watermark that the unregistered version applies. Around the capture sit the practical extras: scheduled recording that starts and stops on a timer, a real time drawing overlay for annotation while recording, webcam overlay with chroma keying, and a simple trimmer for cutting the beginning and end off a take without loading a full editor.
What it does well
Hardware encoding
Encodes through the graphics card so recording costs a few percent of the processor rather than most of it.
Three capture modes
Rectangle or full desktop, direct hook for full screen applications, and external device capture from a card or camera.
Separate audio tracks
System audio and microphone recorded to separate tracks so levels can be fixed after the take.
Drawing and webcam overlay
Annotate live while recording, and overlay a webcam feed with chroma keying and a configurable frame.
Scheduling and trimming
Start and stop on a timer for unattended capture, then trim the ends of a take without opening an editor.

Installation
- Extract the archive and close any running instance.
- Run the installer to the default location.
- Apply the included configuration step before launching.
- Set the output folder to a drive with room and pick the hardware encoder in settings.
- Disable the update check so the configuration stays.
Before you start
Software encoding will work but eats the processor, always select the hardware encoder if the card has one.
Game mode needs the application in full screen or borderless, windowed capture falls back to screen mode.
Recording to the system drive is the most common cause of dropped frames, use a second disk.
Questions about this title
Is the time limit removed?
Yes, and so is the watermark the unregistered version applies.
Can it record system audio and a microphone separately?
Yes, they go to separate tracks in the same file.
Does it capture from a capture card?
Yes, device mode handles capture cards, webcams and external sources.
Will it slow the machine down?
Not much with hardware encoding enabled, which is why the encoder setting matters.
About this listing
This entry was checked on a clean install of Windows 7 / 8 / 10 / 11 before it was published, and it is rechecked whenever the package is rebuilt. The figures on this page come from the site index rather than from the publisher, so the download count is what people here have actually pulled.
If a mirror stops answering, use the contact form and it gets replaced. Reports about a specific title are handled faster than general messages because they name the file, the mirror and the point at which the transfer stopped.
Requests for a different version, a different language build or an older release go on the requests page. Older versions of a title are usually still held even when only the current one is listed.
