Overview
OriginPro sits between a spreadsheet and a programming environment, and it exists because neither of those produces a publication ready figure without a fight. Data goes into worksheets, analysis runs as operations attached to that data, and graphs update automatically when the source changes. That last part is the whole argument: reanalyse a data set and every figure built from it follows without being rebuilt.
The graph type library is enormous and covers the specific forms that journals expect, from contour and ternary plots through waterfall, polar, wind rose, box charts with data overlays, and 3D surfaces with projections. Every element of a figure is styleable and any styled figure can be saved as a template, so a research group can settle on one house style and apply it to everything.
The analysis side covers curve fitting with a large built in function library and user defined functions, non-linear fitting with parameter constraints and global fits across data sets, peak analysis with deconvolution and baseline handling, statistics from descriptives through ANOVA and survival analysis, signal processing with filtering and transforms, and image handling for measurements taken from micrographs. Batch processing runs a whole folder of files through one analysis template and produces a summary report, which is where the working day goes back to being an hour.

Installation
