Overview
Lumion takes a building model and makes it look like a place. Import the geometry, drop it into an environment, place trees and people and cars, set the time of day and the weather, move a camera, and render. The whole loop happens in real time, so the design conversation does not stop while a frame calculates.
The content library is why the download is so large. Thousands of models covering vegetation, furniture, vehicles, people, lighting fixtures and site objects, plus a material library with real displacement and weathering. Nothing is downloaded on demand, the library installs locally and the placement browser works with the network off.
Pro adds the depth: the full library rather than the reduced set, higher output resolutions, the effect stack with depth of field, reflections, global illumination and colour grading, plus LiveSync so a change in the modelling application appears in the Lumion viewport immediately rather than through a re-import.
What it does well
Real time viewport
Move the camera, change the sun, swap the weather and see the result immediately rather than waiting on a render.
Full content library
Thousands of models and materials installed locally, covering vegetation, people, vehicles, furniture and site objects.
Effect stack
Depth of field, reflections, global illumination, volumetric light, sky control and colour grading applied per shot.
LiveSync
Live link to the modelling application so geometry changes appear in the scene without exporting again.
Output
Stills at high resolution, video with camera paths and keyframed effects, and 360 panoramas for client review.
Changes in this build
- Improved global illumination quality at real time frame rates.
- New vegetation and material sets added to the library.
- LiveSync connectors updated for the current modelling releases.
- Faster scene loading on very large imported models.
- Reworked colour grading with per-shot presets.
What is in the package
- Lumion Pro 2025 installer, 64-bit
- Complete offline content library
- LiveSync connectors for common modelling applications
- Material and effect preset library
- Multilingual interface files, 8 languages
System requirements
| Processor | 4 GHz or faster, high single thread performance |
| Memory | 32 GB minimum, 64 GB for large scenes |
| Graphics | GPU with 11 GB VRAM minimum, 16 GB or more recommended |
| Storage | 120 GB free on an SSD including the library |
| Display | 1920 x 1080 minimum, 2560 x 1440 recommended |
| System | Windows 10 22H2 or Windows 11, 64-bit |
Installation
- Confirm the GPU meets the VRAM requirement before downloading, this is not negotiable.
- Extract to an SSD with at least 120 GB free.
- Run setup and let the content library unpack, which takes a long time.
- Apply the configuration step before first launch.
- Open the sample scene to confirm the library registered.
Before you start
The content library is most of the size and the unpack is slow, plan for it.
An underspecified GPU does not run slowly, it refuses to start the scene.
Install LiveSync connectors after the modelling applications are already installed.
Questions about this title
Why is the download so large?
The offline content library. Nothing streams on demand.
Does it need a specific GPU?
It needs VRAM above all. Below the minimum it will not open a scene.
Is LiveSync included?
Yes, with connectors for the common modelling applications.
Can it output video?
Yes, camera paths with keyframed effects and high resolution output.
About this listing
This entry was checked on a clean install of Windows 10 / 11 (64-bit) before it was published, and it is rechecked whenever the package is rebuilt. The figures on this page come from the site index rather than from the publisher, so the download count is what people here have actually pulled.
If a mirror stops answering, use the contact form and it gets replaced. Reports about a specific title are handled faster than general messages because they name the file, the mirror and the point at which the transfer stopped.
Requests for a different version, a different language build or an older release go on the requests page. Older versions of a title are usually still held even when only the current one is listed.
