Overview
AutoCAD LT is the drafting half of the full application with the three dimensional modelling and the customisation layer removed. For anyone whose work is plans, sections, elevations, details and schedules rather than solid modelling, that removal costs nothing and the drawing environment is identical: same commands, same file format, same layer and annotation behaviour, same plotting stack.
The drafting toolset is complete. Lines, polylines, arcs, splines, hatches and regions, object snapping with tracking, dynamic input, parametric constraints that hold geometric and dimensional relationships as a drawing is edited, dynamic blocks with visibility states and stretch actions, external references, tables linked to spreadsheets, and fields that pull values from drawing properties. Annotation scaling handles a detail appearing at several scales without duplicating it.
Output is the part that has to be reliable and it is. Layouts with multiple viewports at independent scales, plot styles by colour or named, page setups saved per sheet, sheet sets that assemble a whole drawing package with automatic numbering, and publishing to plotters or to a single multi page file. Drawings round trip cleanly with the full application, so working in LT does not cut anyone out of a shared project.

Installation
- Extract the archive to a local drive with sufficient free space.

Before you start
Keep external references on a mapped path that matches across the office, broken links are the usual cause of a blank sheet.
Save to an earlier format if consultants are still on an older release, the current format is not readable backwards.
