Overview
Acrobat Pro is still the tool that decides whether a PDF workflow is painful or not. This build is the full desktop application, which means editing text and images inside an existing document, exporting to Word, Excel and PowerPoint with layout preserved, running OCR over scans, and building fillable forms with calculated fields.
The professional side matters more than the viewer features. Preflight profiles check a document against print standards and report what will fail before it reaches a press. Redaction removes content rather than covering it, and the sanitise pass strips metadata, hidden layers and attached objects. Compare documents produces a page by page difference report that is readable by someone who did not write either file.
Everything runs locally in this package. Conversion, OCR and export do not route through a service, which is the practical reason a lot of offices keep a desktop Acrobat around for anything that should not leave the building.
What it does well
Edit inside the PDF
Change text with reflow inside a paragraph, swap or crop images, reorder and rotate pages, and merge files while keeping bookmarks and links intact.
Export with layout intact
Convert to Word, Excel and PowerPoint with tables, columns and lists recognised rather than dumped as loose text boxes.
OCR for scans
Recognise text in scanned pages across dozens of languages, with a searchable image mode that keeps the original scan visible.
Forms and signatures
Detect fields automatically, add calculations and validation, collect signatures and verify certificate chains on signed files.
Redact, sanitise, preflight
Remove content permanently, strip metadata and hidden objects, and validate against print and archival standards before delivery.

About this listing
This entry was checked on a clean install of Windows 10 / 11 (64-bit) before it was published, and it is rechecked whenever the package is rebuilt. The figures on this page come from the site index rather than from the publisher, so the download count is what people here have actually pulled.
If a mirror stops answering, use the contact form and it gets replaced. Reports about a specific title are handled faster than general messages because they name the file, the mirror and the point at which the transfer stopped.
Requests for a different version, a different language build or an older release go on the requests page. Older versions of a title are usually still held even when only the current one is listed.
