Installation
- Extract the archive to a local folder.
- Uninstall any older Reader or a competing viewer that owns the file association.
- Run setup and decline the update service if you want the version fixed.
- Open a document once to confirm the association took.
- Set the default view and print preferences in the preferences panel.
Before you start
Reader and the full Acrobat fight over the file association, install only one on a machine.
Protected mode is on by default and can block plugins, turn it off only if something you need refuses to load.
The offline installer is the right one for a machine that is not connected yet.
