Overview
Office 2019 Professional Plus is the perpetual release that a lot of people still prefer, because it installs once, stays where it is, and does not renegotiate its own licence in the background. This package carries the full Professional Plus application set rather than the cut down home configuration.
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, Publisher and OneNote are all present, along with the shared components: the equation editor, the charting engine, the data model behind PivotTables, and the VBA runtime that so much internal tooling depends on. Documents round trip cleanly with newer suites, and the file formats are the same ones every organisation already exchanges.
Both architectures ship in the same image. The installer offers 32-bit or 64-bit at setup time, which matters because a lot of legacy add-ins are still 32-bit only and will refuse to load into the other build. Deployment configuration files are included for anyone putting this on more than one machine.

Installation
- Remove any existing Office installation, including store versions.
- Mount or extract the image to a local drive.
- Pick 32-bit or 64-bit based on the add-ins you need to keep.
- Run setup and let it finish without launching an application mid-install.
- Open Word once and confirm the activation state in the account panel.
Before you start
Mixing architectures across Office applications is not supported, choose one and stay with it.
Leftover store versions are the single most common cause of a failed setup, clear them first.
Turn off automatic updates if you want the build to stay exactly as installed.
