Overview

This is the combined image for anyone who maintains machines rather than one desk. The three perpetual releases sit in a single payload, and the release is chosen at setup along with the architecture, the applications and the language, so one download covers an office where different machines need different suites.

The reason to keep older releases available is compatibility rather than nostalgia. A workshop machine with a 32-bit measurement add-in wants the 2016 line, a general office desk is fine on 2019, and anyone living in spreadsheets wants 2021 for dynamic arrays and XLOOKUP. Handing all three to the person doing the install removes a lot of downloading later.

Each release installs its full Professional Plus application set, Access and Publisher included, and the deployment configuration samples cover unattended installs across all three lines. The suites are not designed to coexist on one machine, and the installer will offer to remove an existing one before it starts.

What it does well

Three releases in one image

The 2016, 2019 and 2021 perpetual lines share a payload, with the release picked at setup instead of downloaded separately.

Full Professional Plus each time

Whichever release is chosen installs the complete set including Access, Publisher, OneNote and Outlook.

Both architectures

32-bit and 64-bit available for every release so legacy add-ins remain an option.

Application picker

Exclude what a machine does not need rather than installing everything and removing it afterwards.

Deployment samples

Configuration files for unattended installs covering all three release lines.

  • Setup front end reworked so the release, architecture and application choices happen on one screen.
  • Removal routine improved for machines carrying a broken previous suite.
  • Language packs integrated across all three lines instead of downloaded after install.
  • Torrent payload rebuilt with larger pieces for faster verification.

Before you start

Only one release should be installed per machine, they are not designed to coexist.

The 2016 line is the one that still installs on Windows 7, the newer lines do not.

Turn off automatic updates if the installed build should stay exactly as it is.

Questions about this title

Can I install two releases side by side?

Not reliably. Pick one per machine.

Which release should I choose?

2021 for the Excel function set, 2019 for a general desk, 2016 if you need Windows 7 or 32-bit only add-ins.

Is Access in all three?

Yes, Professional Plus includes Access and Publisher in every line here.

Do the direct link and magnet match?

Yes, both resolve to the same combined image.

About this listing

This entry was checked on a clean install of Windows 7 / 8 / 10 / 11 (32-bit and 64-bit) before it was published, and it is rechecked whenever the package is rebuilt. The figures on this page come from the site index rather than from the publisher, so the download count is what people here have actually pulled.

If a mirror stops answering, use the contact form and it gets replaced. Reports about a specific title are handled faster than general messages because they name the file, the mirror and the point at which the transfer stopped.

Requests for a different version, a different language build or an older release go on the requests page. Older versions of a title are usually still held even when only the current one is listed.
